Adjudication Decisions
|
The main purpose of the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017 (BIF Act)
is to help people working in the building and construction industry in being paid for the work they do.
Parties unable to resolve a payment dispute may, subject to the requirements of the BIF Act, apply for adjudication.
A registered adjudicator will decide the application as quickly as possible, including the amount to be paid.
Decisions by adjudicators released to the parties are available below.
The BIF Act requires records of decisions by adjudicators be kept and published.
When searching for an adjudication decisions:
- It may be more effective to search a limited range of characters rather than full name details.
For example, the name John Smith Corporation may be best searched using the term ‘Smith’ in the search field.
- The wildcard function (% before and/or after a name) may enhance search results.
For example, the name John Smith Corporation may be best searched with an accompanying wildcard as follows %Smith%.
- A party may have been a claimant or a respondent. Therefore, search results may be enhanced by first
searching the name in the ‘claimant’ field, and also then repeating the search using the name in the respondent field.
